Our educational 2 hour river cruises from the centre of Glasgow offer an educational, informative and fun experience for children to see for themselves some unique aspects of the River Clyde and the region’s heritage.
Throughout the trip, children are entertained with an informative commentary on the wildlife, shipping, historical and environmental aspects of the river and its banks. This charts the rise and decline of the heavy industries through to the re-birth of the river and its modern day environment.
THE TRIP IS SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN FROM 7 YEARS UPWARDS WITH
A MINIMUM OF 60 PERSONS PER TRIP

A Proud Heritage
The River Clyde has traditionally been the heart of Glasgow, and part of a great and proud heritage.
The river banks are alive with activity as redundant docklands are being redeveloped to provide stylish residential properties and new Financial Services District, while modern cutting-edge Exhibition, Conference and Science Centres now dominate the Clyde.
Departing from the newly installed riverside landing stage at the centre of Glasgow, an educational cruise down the Clyde allows your pupils the opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of this world famous river, and allows an unrivalled opportunity of seeing the changing face of the River Clyde from a different perspective.
Setting sail from the centre of Glasgow, we sail past the Millennium Bridge, which is opened for our passage. We sail downriver past the two remaining shipyards which are busy with new ships being built for the Royal Navy, then continue downriver past Braehead, the Renfrew Ferry and Clydebank, where you can see the famous "Titan Crane". We continue on downriver to the Erskine Bridge and turn for the homeward journey.

REDUCED MOBILITY PASSENGERS
It is recommended that wheelchair users enquire in advance of any intended sailings. As our vessel was built in 1936, there are no special facilities onboard for disabled passengers. Whilst we welcome disabled passengers onboard, the piers that we operate from are subject to large tidal ranges, and we apologise if we are unable to carry passengers if the crew determine that it would be unsafe to board passengers for this reason.
